Higher Praise…

…could not be asked for. I got the following feedback about my book Nawashi:

GrayDancer,

I devoured your book, Nawashi, on a short flight home from Chicago  and airport layover on Sunday (or at least the part of the book you  could fit between the covers with that really big font. 🙂 I look  forward to the next installment in the series.

Merlin
(who found the flights of fancy in GrayDancer’s book less stomach  churning and psychedelic than expected)

And this from someone via teh intrawebs:

After finishing chapter 7 of Nawashi I felt compelled to drop you a line and let you know how much I am enjoying both the source work and your podiobook reading of it. I’m not that knowledgeable about the scenes of proper canonical kink or of sex magic but you’ve made those worlds real (enough to hang pictures) in only 7 short chapters. Love your notions of good and evil based around consent, agency and mechanisms of control – very elegant. –B.

Finally, and most squee-making for me, is this from Mz. C

…your book is my fave. I like instructional stuff, but I learn more rope techniques from real people and practicing myself. Your story put me into a different place. That is a good book in my opinion. So I learned how to “escape in rope” in a new dimension vicariously through your story.

Mz. C & Graydancer

In case you’re wondering, Mz. C is the partner for one of the most amazing rope shoots I’ve ever been part of, shot by M. Mayhem and the Instant Expert.

Meanwhile, yes, I’ve been very quiet here, but that’s because I’m approaching 20,000 words on my next novel in the full throes of NaNoWriMo. It’s going so well it’s scary, so I’m going to go back to it, if you don’t mind. The protagonist is about to do a rope duel with one of the Big Bad Guys in a biker clubhouse. I can’t wait to get my mental hands around those pretty biker chick boobies…
