I’m playing with a concept in tying, and would like to hear people’s thoughts:
“In rope bondage, there’s fast, there’s precise, and there’s comfortable. Pick any two.”
…unless you’re Zamil or the Two Knotty Boys, of course. They get all three.
Thoughts?

Hmm…I guess I’d go with fast, for drama, and comfortable, because I like to play for a long time.

Tech theatre says “good, fast & cheap - pick two.” I’m guessing you know that one. I like it, though. I think it’s applicable to many things beyond tying, as well.

What did you want to hear, that it sounds like fun?
I’d want to try every combination.

Usually I go for precise and comfortable, but sometimes I trade precise for fast. I had to do just that for a very quick demo for auction last week. Or more specifically, I traded off “secure” for fast, which was all fine till my brand new rope bottom I was demoing on tried to play eel in front of an audience. I had to hiss at her — hopefully I looked menacing, but wasn’t overheard — “Stop doing that! It’s not actually hitched!” Sigh . . . It looked good for a two-minute harness, though.
One thing that was really eye-opening about watching some of Osada Steve’s work on video was that he seemed to trade off precise, which was not at all what I’d expected . . .

I say fast and comfy, because I took like to ride it out. So if I’m comfy I can last longer. I just heart rope.
