One of my favorite classes at Shibaricon was on hojojutsu/jujutsu takedown play, taught by Sir C. Sir C is a professional in every sense of the word, from the way she talks, acts, dresses, to the fact that she makes a very good living working as a rigger and dom for Hogtied, Men in Pain, and other sites.

Speaking from a purely rope perspective her ties have a pure efficiency to them–a kind of cruel beauty. You don’t see many pretty decorative knots–rather, she uses the rope to turn the whole person into a decoration. Then again, decoration may not be the right word–even something as beautiful as this suspension ends up being quite practical in the long run.
