I’ve signed petitions before. Even wrote a letter once. But this time I called both the Senator’s offices, and let them know I support them filibustering Alito. I had given up hope on this; I thought he was in. He may still be, in which case I really feel sorry for my wife, my lover, and my daughters, not to mention the rest of us.

It’s a last best hope. I recommend you call your Senator, too. Even if you think it’s a waste of time; I’d count it as a personal favor, because you’d be helping my kids, and would repay it in whatever way I could.
